LD is an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business and teaches graduate courses in marketing, brand management, and B2B. He is also the Director of 3 Field Consultancy Programs: Corporate Field Consultancy, Entrepreneurship Field Consultancy, and Batten Fund Field Consultancy.

Prior to coming to the Raymond A. Mason School of Business, LD taught at the Mendoza School of Business at the University of Notre Dame.  Before that, he spent 32 years with Whirlpool Corporation in various areas of marketing to include sales, product development, merchandising, R&E, and strategic global alliances and planning.  He holds 4 patents.

LD has a BS in Marketing from the University of Richmond, and an MBA from The College of William and Mary.

Maloy Jones
Maloy Jones

Jones is a retired Vice President of Electronic Data Systems.  He has extensive experience in consulting engagements and managing large complex organizations in the US, Europe, Mexico and the Middle East.  His international experience has been particularly focused on startup operations, including joint venture companies as well as new business development in a broad range of functional areas.  Jones also has experience in the US Federal Government and State and Local Governments.

Since retiring in 2006, he has had several consulting engagements supporting mergers and acquisitions, business process outsourcing, and general management support. 

Jones has a  bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in engineering administration. He has been a guest lecturer at the Oxford University School of Business.  He has also served on committees and boards of various organizations including AFCEA, NATO, Software Engineering Institute, and the Virginia Center of Innovative Technology (former Chairman of the Board, currently Vice Chairman).

Jay Smith

Smith has over 40 years of experience in all aspects of the oil and gas exploration and production business. This includes 13 years with Shell Oil Co., 10 years in senior management with British Petroleum which included three years as General Manager of the Australia and Papua New Guinea assets, 9 years in officer level positions with various US independent companies and 8 years of full time planning and organizational development consulting. He attended the 54th Program for Management Development at the Harvard Graduate of School of Business Administration. He has extensive experience in strategic and operational planning, performance management and organizational development. Having worked in Louisiana, Texas, California, Alaska, Ohio, Scotland and Australia, Smith is a recognized expert in all aspects of the drilling and hydrocarbon producing business. Born and raised in the greater Washington, D.C. area; Smith graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
