Harshvardhan Agarwal
Harshvardhan Agarwal graduated from Loyola University (India) with a B.Com
(Honors) in Accountancy. He then worked with SNB Associates (major
audit firm), handling various internal and statutory audit
assignments and quarterly reviews of listed and unlisted organizations. Harsh
completed his Chartered Accountancy (equivalent of a CPA in US) in June
2009 and is currently a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of India. He then worked with Deejay Multipacks Private Limited (leading
manufacturer of Polyfilms). He aspires to have a career in Financial
Consulting with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions. His internship was in
the field of management consulting with Cedar International, based out of
Mumbai, India.
Musab
Al-Barakati
Musab Al-Barakati graduated from the
University of Jordan in Amman with a B.S majoring in computer science. Before
perusing his MBA from Mason school of business he worked for four years at the
Royal Hashemite Court in the Management Information Systems (MIS) directorate,
started out as a applications developer for special internal projects and
eventually he took over a project management role in implementing multiple
modules of a customized ERP system.
Sheldon Alexander
Sheldon
Alexander graduated from the College of William and Mary with a B.B.A. in
Finance and a B.A. in Economics. While attending the College, Sheldon was a
committed member of the football team. He is one of a few students in the MBA
Class of 2012 to enter the program immediately following his undergraduate
studies. Sheldon is working towards a career in wealth management, investment banking,
or corporate finance.
Edmund Amoye
Edmund
Amoye graduated from Concord University (Athens, WV) with separate BSc. degrees
in Business Administration, and Computer Information Systems. After graduating,
he worked at Acken Signs, a Virginia based full service exterior sign company
where he was an Account Manager. At Acken, Edmund managed the company's
hospitality business segment, serving brands under the Hilton Worldwide,
Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Choice Hotels International umbrellas. More
recently, Edmund worked as a Marketing Analytics and Pricing Strategy intern at
NII Holdings, Inc, which operates the Nextel brand in Latin American markets
including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Peru. Edmund is working towards
a career in the luxury goods and services industry. He is a board Member at the
Historic Triangle Senior Center in Williamsburg, VA where he contributes in
enhancing the well being of seniors in the Greater Williamsburg area.
W. Trevor Beaney
W.
Trevor Beaney received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Princeton
University in 2003, where he was a four-year varsity ice hockey letter winner.
Prior to embarking on his MBA studies at William and Mary’s Mason School of
business, Trevor spent over three years at Morgan Stanley in New York City.
During his time at Morgan Stanley, Trevor was part of a Private Wealth
Management team that advised Ultra High Net Worth and institutional clients,
domiciled mainly in Venezuela and Peru, on over $650 million in investment
assets. His primary responsibilities were managing the transaction based
portion of the business, accountable for $1.5 million in yearly revenue to the
firm. Trevor holds FINRA Series 7, 31, and 66 licenses.
Kacha (Cha) Chotchaisatit
Kacha (Cha) Chotchaisatit is a native
of Khon Kaen, Thailand and is currently attending the Mason School of Business,
pursuing an MBA. In addition, he is a member of Phi Beta Delta – International
Honor Society, a senator of the William and Mary Student Assembly, a member of
the Honor Council, and a first-year Representative for the International
Student Association at Mason school of Business. He completed his undergraduate
education at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand earning a Bachelor degree in
Electrical Engineer, B.Eng. After graduating, he worked as a senior engineer at
Advance Info Service – the biggest telecommunication service provider in
Thailand and was responsible for software design and technical problem solving
in Intelligent Network systems.
Walter Coleman
Walter Coleman graduated from the University of
Virginia with a B.A. in Economics in 2003. He then went on to work as an
Account Executive at Thomas Rutherfoord, Inc. in Richmond, VA, where he managed
a self-generated book of business consisting of more than 60 commercial clients
and approximately $1,000,000 in written premiums. After Rutherfoord, Walter
then went on to work as Sales and Marketing Director for Hi-Tech Asphalt,
Inc.’s mineral fiber construction division. Within 15 months, Walter obtained
approximately 95% of U.S. market and began sales in China. Walter decided to
pursue an MBA to combine what he has learned in these two professions with the
financial experience garnered from an MBA program to pursue a career in the
financial arena.
Corey Evert
Corey
Evert has over four years of Risk and Project Management experience in the
financial services industry. Prior to business school, he was a
Senior Business Analyst with E*TRADE Financial in Arlington, VA where his
responsibilities included margin risk, stock record and regulatory reporting. This
past summer, Corey worked in Strategic Planning with real estate developer
Forest City Enterprises on sustainable property development and corporate
long-term strategy. Corey graduated with a B.S.B.A., cum laude, in
Finance from The Ohio State University
and holds active FINRA Series 7, 24, 27 and 63 licenses.
Arthur Grizzle
Arthur Grizzle graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL
with a B.A. in International Relations in 2010. While completing his
undergraduate studies, he held positions with Cambridge Holdings and Merrill
Lynch, with a focus on commercial real estate finance and financial advisory.
Arthur worked for Dominion Resources' Generation group this summer,
with a focus on clean coal transaction structure, energy hedging, and fuel
operations. He is pursuing a career in investment management
Chris Haynes
Chris
Haynes joined the Mason School after spending six years working in the real
estate industry as a project manager. He earned his Bachelors of Business
Administration in Operations Management from James Madison University. He has
won multiple management awards for his work in residential construction and
spearheaded the effort behind the LEED® Gold certification on his latest
commercial project. Most recently he spent the summer working as a consultant. He
advised one of the nation’s largest refiners and manufacturers of precious
metal jewelry on its sustainability initiative while also making a highest and
best use recommendation for an real estate investment company. He is a proud
husband and father of a twenty month old son and is expecting his second in
March.
Andrew Healy
Andrew
Healy graduated from the Mason School of Business at the College of William
& Mary with a B.B.A. in Finance and a Minor in Economics. Prior to
returning to Business school, Mr. Healy worked in the Risk Management division
of Dominion Resources, Inc. where he managed counterparty credit risk and
derivative hedging operations. Previous experience includes work as a Credit
Risk Analyst at SunTrust Bank, and as an Investment Associate at Cambridge
Associates, LLC. This past summer, Mr. Healy interned for IBM in the Financial
Risk Assessment division at the company headquarters in New York where he
managed financial risk associated with IBM’s $20 billion, five year roll-out of
investment on acquisitions.
Zachary Mylan Korman
Zachary
Mylan Korman graduated from Wake Forest University in 2007 with a B.S. in
Business. Afterwards, he went to work for Vanguard, a large mutual fund company
that pioneered the index fund. There, he worked with defined contribution
retirement plans in a customer facing role. While working at Vanguard, Zach
started studying for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams and is
currently a CFA Level II Candidate. Zach joined the Mason School of Business as
part of the class of 2012 with the intent of transitioning himself from the
retail side of the business into a more back office type of role. Since joining
Mason he has been elected to be the President of the Finance Club.
Andrew O’Keefe
Andrew
O’Keefe graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in History in
2007. He then went on to work in the music industry in New York City, first as
an assistant at the artist management firm Red Light Management and then at
HDtracks.com, a startup online music store. At HDtracks, Andrew managed
catalogs and marketing through the initial launch until year 2, when he decided
to get his MBA and transition into a career in finance. This past summer, he
served as a financial analyst intern for K&M Engineering and Consulting in
Washington, D.C. At K&M, he developed financial models and cost proposals
for infrastructure power projects in developing countries.
Sukrit Sehgal
Sukrit Sehgal has a Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Engineering and will graduate in May 2012 with an MBA from The College
of William & Mary. He has over five
years of consulting and two years of relationship management experience for
Fortune 100 clients. Last summer Sukrit worked on strategy development for
QTS’s data centers in Atlanta, GA. He
developed the business plan for services and system changes that would help QTS
realize annualized bottom-line growth of over $4m. Sukrit is currently on QTS's
steering committee prioritizing the value proposition of the business plan by
executing his recommendations. Prior to attending business school, Sukrit
worked at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) where he executed efficient and
cost effective SAP for clients such as Coca-Cola and Delphi Corporation. As a Project Manager, Sukrit helped his
clients realize business value and service excellence from their IT investments
Vibha Chokhani
Vibha Chokhani graduated from the University of Mumbai with a Bachelor of Management Studies degree (special studies in Finance). She worked in various roles for the manuscript editing business unit of Cactus Communications Pvt. Ltd. in India, including payments & invoicing, business development and client servicing, finishing as Assistant Manager of the team. Vibha was an entrepreneur for few years, when she worked with rural artisan women to help develop their handicrafts business. She spent the summer of 2011 working with the W&M School of Business on a national social entrepreneurship conference, SEcon2012, which was successfully hosted in March 2012. Vibha has a keen interest in emerging market economies and the role of financial markets in promoting social and economic development. She is presently exploring career paths in impact investing, microfinance and/or private wealth management and perceives herself as a social entrepreneur, hoping to develop market solutions for the Bottom of Pyramid (BoP) markets.
Robbie Talmage
Robbie
Talmage graduated from Radford University with a B.B.A. in Management. After college,
he worked for Wachovia Securities in Richmond, VA where he had the opportunity
to gain experience as an analyst and manager in the Margin Operations
department. While at Wachovia Securities, he was responsible for managing
Wachovia’s margin investments for their Private Client Group. Robbie is working
towards a career in wealth management or private equity after graduation in May
of 2012.
Matt Torpey
Matt
Torpey joined the Mason School
after spending the last two years as an Equity Trader on Assent LLC proprietary
desk in Boston. He earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics from Union
College in Schenectady, New York. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Society and
the Rugby Club at Union. Prior to trading Matt work for the Philadelphia
Phillies and the minor league affiliates for the San Francisco Giants, Colorado
Rockies and Florida Marlins. Last summer he interned with GE Capital as a
Treasury Analyst in the Energy Financial Services sub-business.
