Distinguished Speaker Series

Founder, CEO and chairman of Dollar Tree Stores, Macon Brock, was the Ethics in Business Leadership speaker at the dean's dinner during the January residency period this year. Dean Larry Pulley places the utmost value on ethics and strives to give the subject prominence.

Speakers Committee

Each class forms a Speakers Committee whose objective is to bring business executives to the classroom. Invitations may be issued from the committee members or the professors if the committee so desires. The committee also serves as host to the visitors.

Typically, there are three to four speakers per semester on subjects such as funding a start-up, mergers and acquisitions, executive recruiting and market research.

Recent speakers include Corporate Vice President and President Mike Petters of Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding, CEO David Bernd of Sentara Healthcare, and Chairman, President and CEO Wick Moorman of Norfolk Southern Corporation.
