GMAT Waiver Policy

A GMAT Score is required when applying to the Executive MBA Program. However, under certain circumstances, applicants may request a waiver of the GMAT requirement.  Such waivers are not automatic but may be requested if the applicant meets one or more of the following criteria:

  • The applicant has completed a graduate degree from an accredited college or university with a grade average of at least a B.  Examples of such graduate degrees would include: a medical degree, a law degree or a master's or doctoral degree that includes a significant quantitative, statistics or mathematics component.
  • The applicant has an undergraduate degree that includes a significant quantitative, statistics or mathematics component with at least a B average in such courses.
  • The applicant can demonstrate with written documentation that professional and academic experience makes him/her prepared for success in the quantitatively oriented courses of an Executive MBA program.

To request a GMAT waiver, please provide the following materials:

  •  A brief written request outlining the reasons why the Admissions Committee should grant a GMAT waiver, indicating which waiver category applies.  This must be submitted (via email, fax, or regular mail) to the Director of the Executive MBA Program.
  • Copies of all academic transcripts for work completed at any college or university.  Candidates may submit unofficial copies, but any unofficial copies must be followed by official transcripts submitted with the formal application.
  •  A current resume.
  • Any other information that the candidate wishes to submit to the Admissions Committee in support of the request.
