Accounting professor Laura Simmons' research on securities class-action settlements was cited on Bloomberg.com.

Bloomberg reported on Simmons' finding that securities-fraud class-action settlements in the U.S. rose 39 percent to more than $3.8 billion in 2009, driven in part by the resolution of a UnitedHealth Group Inc. shareholder case.
