On May 5th, Navy Seal and Mason School MBA student, Kyle Milliken, was killed in action during an operation in Somalia. Kyle was a 15-year decorated veteran and was completing his second semester in the Online MBA Program.

In 2015, Professor Katherine Guthrie was honored with the two-year Mansfield professorship, and was given $10,000 worth of funds to spend on initiatives to benefit students. Guthrie used the majority of the funds to spearhead a diversity initiative in the Raymond A. Mason School of Business.

Two teams of students at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business won the 2017 Carlyle Case Competition, held February 17 at William & Mary's Miller Hall.
