City of Williamsburg awards the Mason School with Beautification Award
The Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary was selected to receive a Beautification Award from the City of Williamsburg in the category of Environmental/Conservation.
Alan B. Miller Hall, which opened just over four years ago, is among the most efficient on campus, and is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certified building.
Miller Hall uses collected rainwater for irrigation and utilizes lights throughout the building automatically turn off when not in use — these are just two of Miller Hall’s innovations which helped it gain both LEED Certification and the ranking of #2 Best Facility by the Princeton Review.
The program honors Williamsburg residents and businesses who contribute to the improvement and beautification of the community. The city posted an acknowledgement sign in front of Miller Hall, which will be in place for one year.
