14 pitched, half move on to finals in Annual Business Plan Competition

The Annual Business Plan Competition, co-sponsored by the Alan B. Miller Entrepreneurship Center and the MBA Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club,  is underway.

Business Plan CompetitionStudents were invited to submit their ideas through the form of an executive summary in order to create a real-world simulation of the process of obtaining funds from angel investors or venture capitalists. Only 14 teams were selected to the Power Pitch round, held Monday, April 4,  where they presented their ideas in front of the judges.

In less than two minutes, students had pitch the judges, and convince them that their idea is worth moving to the next round. The students were faced with tough questions that put their ideas under scrutiny.

The 14 teams were narrowed down to seven for the next round in the competition. These teams will submit their business plans and then give their final presentations on April 27 in front of actual investors.
