Post 9/11 GI Bill
The GI Bill has educated three U.S. presidents, three Supreme Court justices, 14 Nobel Prize winners, and 24 Pulitzer Prize winners. So you’re in good company.
If you were honorably discharged and have at least 90 days of aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001 or were discharged with a service-related disability after 30 days, you are eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill. You can also use your benefit while on active duty.
The benefits of the bill are determined by a number of criteria specific to you. Possible benefits include partial or full tuition, a monthly housing allowance, and an annual books and supplies stipend. Based on where you live, some are even eligible for a one-time rural benefit of $500 to cover the cost of relocation. Under certain conditions, benefits may now be transferred to immediate family members.
