Biography

K. Scott Swan is an Associate Professor of International Business and Marketing at The College of William & Mary. He earned a B.S. degree from Taylor University, an M.B.A. from The University of South Carolina and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Professor Swan has lectured at The University of Texas at Austin, St. Edwards University, Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo, WHU in Koblenz, Germany, and the Vienna Business School in Austria. His research interests include sourcing strategies, cooperative strategies, and global product development that have lead to publications in such leading journals as Strategic Management Journal, Management International Review, Journal of International Management, and the Journal of International Business Studies. Professor Swan has worked in project management for Flour-Daniel, marketing management for Foremost Corporation of America, as well as starting several small businesses.
