Biography

Colin Jones received his BBA from New Mexico State University and his MBA from the William & Mary Mason School of Business, before pursuing his doctoral work in finance at the Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business.  His research focuses on the effect of venture capital financing on corporate decision making, particularly in mergers and acquisitions.  While at Penn State, Jones was nominated for the Ossian R. MacKenzie Teaching Award.  His professional experience includes time as an entrepreneur in the music industry, a research assistant in economic development, and an analyst at a venture capital firm.
