Paul “Pete” Peterik is a retired Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer who delivered strong practical leadership and positive P&L and operating results to a variety of businesses during his career. Pete is a CPA with SEC, “Big 4,” Fortune 500, IPO, Sarbanes-Oxley, International, and Entrepreneurial Executive experience. His experience includes business development, sales management, organizational behavior, and M&A, generating multi-million dollar sales and supply contracts and participated in, or led, over twenty M&A transactions. He has demonstrated success in operational and process improvement, finance and treasury, financial reporting and stakeholder communication, including crisis communications and investor relations. He graduated from Northern Illinois University and worked nine years with Price Waterhouse in their Chicago office. In the 1980’s, he was Assistant Treasurer for Wickes Companies, Inc., a $4 billion conglomerate emerging from bankruptcy. He was instrumental in financing the Company through public bonds and debt. After leading the financial turnarounds at two manufacturing companies, Mr. Peterik started his own consulting firm specializing in crisis management, frequently operating as an interim CFO. His most recent success as COO and CFO was an initial IPO for a high growth industrial service and technology Company, Mistras Group, Inc. (NYSE: MG). There, he coordinated twelve worldwide subsidiaries, thirty US service centers and laboratories through four controllers and a staff of 25. Other industries that he served during his career included automotive, food and beverage products and packaging, extruded metal and plastic products, broadband/telecommunication fiber optic products and services as well as specialized financial services, including leasing and credit card businesses.
Since retiring in 2010, Mr. Peterik has been primarily involved in the Ford’s Colony Homeowner’s Association as a Board Director and has served as Chairman and/or Committee Member for its Strategic Planning Committee, Governance and Branding and Marketing Task Forces. He is also on the Board of Governors for the Ford’s Colony County Club, and participates in various fund raising activities for the local community.
