Frank  Ferrante

Biography

Ferrante is former Fellow/Senior Manager of Noblis Inc. and MITRE, both scientific research and engineering companies. He has extensive experience in telecommunications system design, implementation, and management. He lectures on security and wireless communications technology as well as enterprise systems management and public policy. Ferrante was Technical Director of Northrop-Page Communications Engineers R&D and Senior Manager for Atlantic Research Corporation. He also co-founded and served as CEO of ComCert LLC, a security certificate management services company.

Ferrante currently is an associate faculty member at Johns Hopkins University's Carey Business School. He is a Senior Life Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and now serves as an advisor and Emeritus Editor-in-chief of the IEEE Computer Society's IT professional magazine. He was elected to the Computer Society's Board of Governors (2007-2009) and was appointed to the Society's Publications Board and Electronic Products and Services Board (EPSB). Ferrante also is founder and serves as President of his private consulting company, FEF Group LLC.

Ferrante has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech, a master's degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University and a master's degree in engineering and public policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
