Thomas  Cardwell

Biography

Tom Cardwell has over 49 years experience in program management, personnel management, systems engineering, systems integration, and financial planning.  Twenty-eight of those years were Air Force experience in fighter aircraft employment, tactical air operations, international negotiations, operations of battle management systems, and command and control systems.  He has over 20 year's executive experience in program management, personnel management, strategic planning, analytical assessment and international business development.  Tom as served as a Vice President and Operations and Division Managers in Science Applications International Corporation.  He also served as an USAF Officer on the Joint Staff, Air Staff and Major Command Staff, and as a Wing Commander, and Deputy Commander for Operations.  He retired from active duty after 28 years as a colonel in 1993 and retired after 20 years as a Vice President with SAIC in 2013.  Tom Cardwell started a third career as CEO of PlanIT Group LLC, a company he co-founded in 2010.  He currently serves on PlanIT Group's Board of Director.  Tom is also CEO of Cardwell Group LLC since 2006.

Tom received a BBA in Management from Texas A&M University, an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and a Ph.D. in International Relations from Pacific Western University.  He also attended the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College, Amos Tuck School of Business Administration.
