Larry  Adair

Biography
  • Military – After 30 years, I retired in 2004 from the US Army with the rank of Major General. I was commissioned a Field Artillery officer and commanded a battalion in combat during Operation DESERT STORM.  During the latter part of my service, I held several leadership positions with the personnel community; to include, Commander, US Army Human Resources Command.  I culminated my service on the Army Staff in the Pentagon.
  • Civilian Employment – I retired as a senior executive with Accenture on 1 March 2017. My responsibilities included serving as the Defense “advocate” for Army programs, as well as for Joint, Defense and Combatant Commands.
  • West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) Activities– over the course of time, I have served as a member of the West Point Society of DC Board of Governors, Society Advisor to the WPAOG BoD and as a member of the WPAOG BoD.
  • West Point Athletics Support/Activities – I have been very active in supporting the West Point Athletic Department in providing counsel and recommendations for securing innovative sources of revenue and solutions to the most intractable issue facing Army athletics. I served as the Co-Chair of the Army Athletics Transition Team for the incoming Superintendent. I also served on the Board of Managers for the Athletics LLC within WPAOG.
  • West Point Admissions Support – I have worked with the Admissions Office for the past fifteen years interviewing candidates and guiding them through the admissions process. I have recently been assigned a high school in Williamsburg.
