Biography

A 30-year marketing and advertising veteran with 20 years of specialization in direct marketing, Hughes has held senior management positions at Wunderman and DraftWorldwide (now Draftfcb) - two of the world’s largest direct marketing companies. Hughes led teams working on Fortune 500 accounts including American Express, AT&T, Bell Atlantic, Fidelity Investments, Hilton Hotels, Merck, Pfizer, Verizon and more.  Hughes is an expert in lead generation, customer acquisition and retention marketing – delivering the right message to the right people at the right time. She has helped clients segment their databases to identify high value customers who are responsible for the majority of profits. Her work has led to the development of loyalty and recognition programs that stimulate incremental business and build brand advocates. During her extensive career in New York, Hughes played an on-going agency role in nurturing and training account management staff in strategic, technical and behavioral skills that helped them progress and succeed. Her management duties included interviewing top candidates for key positions across departments as well as preparing formal employee reviews.

Hughes joined her husband, Madigan Pratt, founder of MP&A Digital & Advertising in 2003 and they moved to Williamsburg in 2006. The agency is located in New Town and specializes in integrated marketing programs for small, independent luxury hotels primarily in Bermuda and the Caribbean.
She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where she earned a B.S.B.A in Journalism, specializing in Mass Communications.
