Biography

Henry has over forty years of business experience and has served in multiple capacities across both the private and public sectors. After a career at IBM and short stints at both Deloitte and Sapient, he founded JEH Consulting in 2004. His firm supports both large and small businesses interested in pursuing contracts with the federal government.

 Henry joined IBM in 1973. After seven years in sales and sales support positions, he began a management career that spanned twenty of his twenty-eight years at IBM.  Henry led sales teams, served as a product manager charged with introducing a new product offering and managed an organization responsible for selling to federal installations in the western half of the US.   He also led a major reorganizational effort that improved IBM’s go-to-market strategy in pursuing federal government business. Henry led the business development organizations for Federal practices at both Deloitte Consulting and the Sapient Corporation.  Henry brings strong skills in managing large programs and delivery teams, developing sales strategies and building lasting business partnerships. Henry holds a B.S. Degree from the Virginia Military Institute and received his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School in 1973.  He served as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Vietnam.  Henry is married with three grown children and resides in Williamsburg.
