Biography

Hand has spent most of his 30-year career within the retail vertical, specifically the fashion industry. After gaining knowledge about marketing and marketing information at two industry giants, Gillette and Anderson Consulting, Hand moved to Wrangler where he had various marketing assignments, such as Director Sales Planning, Director Marketing Services, Vice President Sales and Marketing International Division, before he became President of a division.

With the retail vertical in the midst of vast changes, Hand switched to providing marketing information to the industry. He joined The NPD Group as President of the apparel/retail vertical. After a decade of running this business, Hand started a marketing/business information consulting company. When Hand was asked by a client to join his firm, Hand took the small entrepreneurial marketing information company, reinvented it and sold it to the industry leader within a two-year period. Hand's areas of expertise are in general management, sales, strategic planning and market research.

Hand received his bachelor's degree in mathematics/econometrics from Union College and his MBA from The University of Michigan.
