Biography

A consultant for NASA on future space systems, Guastaferro is responsible for developing project managers and system engineers. His experience in technology management supported his earlier roles as Chairman and CEO of the electronics firm nVIEW Corporation, Vice President with the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Company, and Deputy Director of the NASA Ames Research center. He was instrumental in the project and program management for the Viking Mission to Mars and in NASA's Large Space Structures division, and he directed their Planetary Programs. In addition to his current consulting work for NASA, he is Chair Emeritus of the Hampton Roads Technology Council and Director of the Virginia Technology Alliances.

Guastaferro received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, an MBA from Florida State University, and completed an Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School.
