Master of Accounting Career Services

The William & Mary Master of Accounting Program prepares you for successful entry into the world of employment. The William & Mary MAcc Program has an outstanding graduate placement record, enhanced by longstanding relationships with many of the nation's top companies and firms.

To help students prepare for the job search, a number of resources are provided. Each student will receive a written Job Search Guide to prepare them for all the steps of the job search process. At the start of the academic year, each student will receive individualized resume and cover letter assistance. The Mason Career Services office assists students by conducting workshops on such topics as job search strategies, interviewing skills and networking techniques. They also benefit from mock interviews conducted by industry recruiters. Events such as Meet the Firms Friday and the annual Gibbs Society dinner provide ample opportunities to meet with recruiters and talk about career options.      

While MAcc students are not expected to have full-time work experience between their undergraduate and graduate degrees, we highly recommend that students enrolling in the MAcc Program secure an internship in the field of accounting if at all possible. An opportunity to learn first-hand about the realities of accounting after the junior or senior year greatly enriches the learning experience in the MAcc Program.
