It was a small group of faculty who gathered in a crowded office in Tyler Hall in 1984 to discuss the possibility of starting an Executive MBA Program at William & Mary. With Professor Larry Ring at the chalkboard, a curriculum was developed, a schedule established, and a launch date was set.
Over the past 30 years, the Executive MBA Program at William & Mary has gone through a number of changes, but the overall experience remains a celebrated professional highlight for those who take on the challenge, make the transition from utter fear during kick-off week to overwhelming enthusiasm at graduation—and then go on to use the knowledge and passion to enhance their companies, their careers, and their lives.
Over 1,000 working professionals have traveled the path as Executive MBA students at William & Mary, and they were exalted this September 10th and 11th during the 30th Anniversary Celebration in Williamsburg.
On September 10, 2016, we celebrated the 30thanniversary of the Executive MBA program at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business.
