The William & Mary Master of Accounting (MAcc) is focused one result: preparing you to provide value when you join the professional world.
The W&M MAcc exposes you to today’s world of financial reporting—from coursework in fixed income securitizations and derivatives and IFRS to onsite exposure to many of the leading U.S. regulatory agencies during the Veris CPATrek.
In nine months, you’ll go from just measuring assets to being an asset.
Length: Nine months; additional Summer Bootcamp classes in Intermediate Accounting and Auditing available for non-Accounting majors and returning students.
Format: Fall semester – required course modules in Financial Markets, Professional Development, and Professional Accounting with additional electives available. The semester ends with the VERIS CPATrek. Spring semester — required Professional Accounting III course and additional electives. Emphasis in Taxation available .
Requirements: GMAT, transcripts, 2 letters of recommendation, application and fee (waived for active members of the military and W&M students and alumni). Interviews scheduled for selected candidates. Non-native speakers of English who did not obtain their undergraduate degree at a university in an English-speaking country must submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
Prerequisites: Principles of Accounting, Statistics, Financial Management, Introduction to Information technology, Intermediate Accounting, Auditing.
