Datamonitor 360 (was Marketline)
Search by company name, keyword, or country name to access company profiles, industry profiles, and country profiles. Company overviews include revenue and SWOT analysis, as well as competitor and subsidiary information. Industry reports include a market overview, value, segmentation, and forecasts as well as information on top competitors within industry/market sectors.
EBSCOhost Business Source Complete
Use keyword searching to access articles from various types of publications. An excellent place to begin your research and gather background information on business related topics. Tip: Once you conduct your initial search, this database provides excellent options for narrowing your results by items listed on the left side menu (ie. Source type, geography, subject, company names, etc.) You can also quickly narrow the date range using the sliding bar on the right side of the results screen.
Factiva
Use keyword searching to access articles from various publications. An excellent source for articles pertaining to company and financial information. You can also search for company profiles and current and historical quotes on stocks, funds, currencies, or common market indexes using the “Company/Markets” tab. Quickly locate today’s online edition of the Wall Street Journal as well as other periodicals using the “News Pages” tab.

Search by keyword or browse by topics. Reports include industry overviews, competitive analysis, market trends, product innovations, buyer behavior, and market share information. Note: These reports are lengthy, so view the table of contents prior to printing to focus on the chapters or sections most relevant to your needs.
Mergent Horizon
Search by company name or ticker symbol to find basic financial information and valuation analysis alongside listings of related products/services, customers, suppliers, partners, and competitors.
Mergent Online
Find extensive business descriptions, corporate histories, financial statements, and executive information when searching for company profiles by company name, ticker symbol, CUSIP, or Duns number. In-depth country profiles can also be found using the pull-down menu at the bottom right of the screen. To search for industry reports, select the “Report Search” tab, and then “Industry Reports.” Industry reports include profile information as well as market segmentation and are specific to regions around the world. To generate a list of companies operating within a specific industry, search by SIC or NAICS code on the “Basic Search” page.
Mintel Oxygen
Covers both the US and European marketplace. Search by product name, keyword, or consumer segment (ie. “teens” or “tweens”) to find consumer profiles and trends. Reports include market segmentation, drivers, size and forecasts along with analysis of the competitive landscape and market share. Note: You must create your profile prior to using this database the first time, and login thereafter.
OneSource
Search by keyword, industry activity, or industry code to find industry research, analysts’ reports, and strengths/weaknesses analysis. Or, search by company name, ticker symbol or registered number to access company information for both US and non-US companies, including analysts’ reports and strengths/weaknesses analysis. Note: To access this database, select “International Business” from the RefUSA home page.
Plunkett Research Online
Search by keyword (select “Search all Industries”) or browse by industry sector. Once on the industry sector page, select “Statistics” or “Trends” from the header to view excellent statistical charts or trend analysis relevant to that industry.
ProQuest ABI/Inform Global
Provides full text access to articles from various publications including dissertations. A great place to begin your research. Results page offers suggestions for additional searches to help narrow your results or modify your search.
Reference USA
Search by company name to identify company directory information or use the “Custom Search” option to search by industry classification or geographic region and generate lists of relevant companies. Tip: Excellent resource when you begin to do your own job search.
Research Insight
Find financial data, company reports and performance charts. Includes annual and quarterly income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, statistical and market information for publicly held U.S. and Canadian companies. Create customized financial reports or access more than 160 pre-defined reports and performance charts. Select “Research Assistant” on the opening screen to begin creating your report.
SRDS
A collection of databases for marketers that provide media information including advertising rates, circulation and readership information, publisher’s positioning statement, and market profiles. The “Local Market” database provides analysis of consumer behavior and trends and demographic data. Note: You must login using username and password provided in the SRDS user guide.
Swem Library
A link to Swem Libraries home page in order for you to more easily access the additional resources provided by Swem. Use the “Databases” link in the top right corner of the page to access additional databases. Choose from a variety of topics, including “Business & Economics.” Use their “Electronic Journals” to access additional full text articles. “Library Catalog” allows you to search all of the William & Mary libraries for additional print and electronic resources. In the center menu labeled “Library Resources” find “Government Information” to quickly link to government statistical and demographic information.
ThomsonOne.com Investment Banking
Find up to the minute data on corporate, industry and market financials. Also includes historical research and statistics as well as forecasts. Search by ticker symbol to quickly access extensive company financials, statistics, forecasts, and news.
Value Line
Select “Ratings & Reports” to access approximately 1,700 company tear sheets. Search by company ticker symbol in the small search field at the top right of the screen. “Selection & Opinion” is a weekly newsletter that contains Value Line’s latest economic and stock market forecasts, write-ups of interesting and attractive stocks, model portfolios, and financial and stock market statistics.
Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS)
Financial, economic, and marketing data sets from Audit Analytics, COMPUSTAT, CRSP, I/B/E/S, and CUSIP Master File.
Additional databases (Choices 3, Bloomberg, Baseline, and Morningstar) are also available at various terminals in the McLeod Business Library.
