The following information is intended to answer some of the most common questions that our graduates have regarding Commencement. The College has planned a weekend full of optional activities for ALL graduating students and their guests -- highlights for Raymond A. Mason School of Business students are listed here. Further information can be found on the website maintained by the Office of Student Affairs at or by contacting your Raymond A. Mason School of Business Program’s office. The W&M Bookstore has set aside days to assist students with purchasing regalia and other graduation merchandise all at once.

Grad Fair 2017:

Tuesday, March 21st, 2017: 11am-6pm

Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017: 10am-4pm

If you are unable to make it to Grad Fair, the bookstore will sell Undergrad and Masters Regalia in-store starting March 27th, 2017. Undergraduate and Masters will be available at the bookstore after Grad Fair from March 27th up until the day of Graduation. Unfortunately, the bookstore does not place phone orders or sell Regalia online.

February 2 - March 1, 2017
  • Registration for Commencement
    All degree candidates requesting tickets for the main ceremony must register to attend with the College. If you do not plan to attend any Commencement-related events, we ask that you still complete the form so we are aware of your intentions.
    Please note: this registration is different from the Notice of Candidacy form you filed with the Registrar.
  • Regalia is required for main Commencement and all departmental ceremonies. Please note that that regalia is new this year for Undergraduate and Masters degree candidates. Mason School of Business graduate students, regardless of program, wear brown (drab) hoods.

Graduates assemble in the Wren Courtyard and take a farewell walk through the Wren Building and across campus to W&M Hall, where they will assemble for the main Commencement ceremony.

Raymond A. Mason Graduate Programs Diploma Presentation Ceremony
All Graduate Programs: Full-Time MBA, Flex MBA, Online MBA, Master of Accounting & Master of Business Analytics are invited to partake. Information will be announced soon.

The Mason School of Business Undergraduate Diploma Ceremony
This is the ceremony during which graduating Undergraduate Business Students will receive their diploma. The ceremony is open to all Mason School of Business Undergraduate Students and their guests. No tickets are required
