Steve Baker, a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers' assurance practice in Northern VA, is a 1987 alumnus of William & Mary. He is currently the leader of the metro Washington D.C. Private Company Services practice and has spent his entire post-W&M career at PwC.
Steve's experience includes serving clients within the consumer and industrial products, hospitality and private equity arenas. He has considerable experience in serving international clients and working with PricewaterhouseCoopers' international affiliate firm network. More specifically, Steve has assisted clients with their periodic reporting obligations, the initial registration of debt and equity securities and with providing advice to financial and strategic buyers and sellers in numerous industries. He has helped clients identify targets, negotiate letters of intent, conduct due diligence reviews, develop purchase/sale contract language, perform acquisition and working capital audits, allocate purchase price and participate in purchase price dispute resolutions.
Steve is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a regular instructor of various firm sponsored training courses as well as client continuing professional education courses regarding technical accounting and financial best practices.
