Workshops: The Office of Career Services is here to help you develop your professional skills in order to achieve your goals, both personally and professionally. From resume writing and interviewing to securing an internship and preparing for graduate school, these workshops contribute to your success.
Career Fairs and Symposiums: Throughout the academic year, various career fairs are hosted through the Career Center. These are a great opportunity for students to identify possible career interests and begin networking with recruiters to find internships or full-time employment upon graduation.
Internship/Externship Assistance: Internships provide real-life experience in a career area that interests you. We strongly recommend that each student learn more about a career path and gain practical experience by participating in a related summer internship. The Career Center provides resources and counsels students on conducting a successful internship search. Additionally, you may want to consider an international internship in order to gain a global perspective to enhance your business degree.
Networking: This is the time to develop your networking skills. You will have opportunities to participate in numerous networking events on campus throughout the year. The Career Center will host several events, but you can also network with the many guest speakers who visit the School of Business. Additionally, joining professional organizations and continuing to maintain contact with professors, employers, and others you have met, will help provide career guidance, strategies and tips for pursing career opportunities.
Company Visits: Company recruiters come to William and Mary throughout the year specifically to meet and discuss job opportunities with our students. Company visits present excellent opportunities for students to meet and network with company recruiters to discuss future job opportunities.
Job Placement: We provide our Business students with opportunities for Job Placement. Opportunities sponsored by the Mason School of Business and the Career Center provide the necessary tools for students to find a job after graduation. For specific job postings, students will have an opportunity to apply via Career Services’ electronic recruiting system (eRecruiting) for an interview.
