As a student, you have the opportunity to choose from nearly 400 campus clubs and organizations to share your passions with fellow students. At the Mason School of Business, student organizations focus on business-oriented activities and provide an environment suited for making friends, building relationships, and having fun!
In addition to student organizations, the Mason School of Business and the Undergraduate Business Student Organization sponsor events throughout the year for students to enjoy themselves outside of the classroom including: brown bag lunch discussions, community service projects, environmental and sustainability efforts, as well as social activities.
Special Programs and Opportunities:
Case Competitions: Mason provides selected students working in teams the opportunity to consult on a hypothetical case, identifying and prioritizing key issues, providing a logical approach to addressing those issues, while testing problem-solving skills in various areas, time management and teamwork skills that will be presented to the judges.
Film Discussions: The Undergraduate Business Program takes students and faculty "to the movies" to explore ethical and sustainability issues within the Business world. A lively panel discussion of faculty and alumni follows the screening of the films.
Wall Street Program: This is an opportunity for Business students to learn what the investment banking world is like first-hand. During the 3 day seminar, students travel to New York Cityto meet William and Mary alumni working in investment banking, gain direct exposure to Wall Street and the banking world while networking and enjoying the city.
Mentor Program: The UBSA sponsors a mentor program that supports incoming business students during their transition into the Business School. Mentors welcome new students to the Business School and provide support during their Foundation Semester. Such support will range from feedback on presentations and simulation to helping the new juniors plan their Individual Programs of Study (IPS).
