Undergraduate Business

Internationalize your Degree

We have designed our business curriculum so that each major can study abroad during the spring semester of their sophomore or junior year and still graduate on time.  Students who study abroad should consider completing an International Emphasis in Business.

Distinguish is our approach to specialized research and study in the William & Mary Undergraduate Business Program.

Individual Program of Study

At the Mason School of Business, we create an environment that fosters creativity, innovative thinking, and intellectual depth, breadth, and curiosity.  You create the path you wish to follow.

In this environment, we work closely with you to design your own Individual Program of Study (IPS).  As you develop your IPS, you will gain the knowledge and experiences needed to become the person you want to be and shape the world in which you want to live.

Combine Business & Liberal Arts

Interdisciplinary Study in Liberal Arts.  Students can double major or minor in another field on campus (For example: Finance and Philosophy Double Major).  Study what interests you rather than what is dictated to you.

Add a concentration in a Secondary Business Discipline.  Students can major in one business field and concentrate in another business field (For example: Marketing major with a concentration in Process Management & Consulting).  Follow your business interests to create a dynamic combination.

Beyond the Classroom

Internship and Career Planning.  Students are encouraged to have an internship in their field the summer after their junior year. Opportunities for finding internships are available through Career Services.

Research with Faculty.  Students may develop and pursue research projects for academic credit according to their interests and under the guidance of a faculty member.

Leadership Opportunities.  Across campus and within the business school, our students can lead organizations of their interest working with fellow students and business faculty in a variety of fields.

Create Your Own Path

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
