The MBA Program encourages the William and Mary community* to direct qualified candidates to consider the MBA opportunities at the Mason School of Business. Applicants who are referred to MBA Admissions by a William and Mary community member will receive an application fee waiver that can be used to apply to the 21-month Full-time MBA or the part-time Flex MBA program.

To Offer an Application Fee Waiver Referral:

• Select and complete the appropriate form from this list for each candidate you would like refer.
• Return the form by e-mail admissions@mason.wm.edu, fax 757-221-2958 or mail to P.O. Box 8795, Williamsburg, VA 23187-8795.
• The form will be kept on file in the MBA Admissions Office and matched with the candidate’s materials when he or she applies. We keep application and pre-application materials on file for two years; if the candidate has not applied after two years, you will need to submit a new referral form.
• Please instruct the candidate you are referring to select “Check” as the application fee payment method when submitting his or her online application; the candidate then does not need to send a check as this form will suffice. THE CANDIDATE MUST NOT SUBMIT ANY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION FOR APPLICATION FEE PAYMENT, AS WE CANNOT PROCESS REFUNDS.

To Receive An Application Fee Waiver Referral:

• Ask someone from the William and Mary community* to submit the appropriate referral form on your behalf.
• If you are a prospective student who wishes to be considered for an application fee waiver due to financial limitations but you do not have an affiliation with a member of the William and Mary community, you may submit a letter by email to Kathy Pattison, Director of MBA Admissions, at kpattison@mason.wm.edu. Your letter should include a detailed explanation of your reasons for requesting an application fee waiver and your plan for financing your MBA education if you are admitted. Although the MBA Admissions Committee will thoughtfully consider each request received, you should be aware that the application fee is only one small portion of the substantial financial investment you will be making in your MBA education.
