Frank J. Wood assumed the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on July 30, 2004. Prior to his present appointment with Foundation, Wood served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of RAG American Coal Holding, Inc. since 1999. From 1993 to 1999, he was Vice President & Controller at Cyprus Amax Coal Company, and from 1991 to 1993, he was Vice President of Administration at Cannelton Inc. From 1979 to 1991, Wood held various accounting and financial management positions at AMAX Inc.'s coal and oil and gas subsidiaries.

Wood earned a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University and a Bachelors in Accounting from the College of William and Mary. Wood holds a professional accounting certification from the state of Virginia Board of Accountancy. In addition, Wood also serves on various committees of the National Mining Association and has an active role with the Surety Bond Working Group.
