Wagih Dafashy received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting from Ein Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He earned an MBA degree from the University of Texas, Austin in 1963, and completed his PhD in accounting at the University of Arkansas in 1966.
Before starting his graduate study, Wagih served as an auditor with the General Accounting Office in Egypt. He joined the College of William and Mary in 1965. His current position is Professor of Business Administration. Wagih is married and has two sons.
